Outreach to Midgets Comes Up Short

A weekend crusade for little people held last week at his Santa Ana church was virtually unattended, even though guest speakers included Verne Troyer of Austin Powers fame, and Bushwick Bill of Geto Boys. Each gave their testimonies to a crowd of five – Huber and his family.
Huber, often derided by local pastors who fish for congregants among Orange County’s elite, likes to remind his colleagues that all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
this is the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard of. I am a little person myself, and was extremely offended by the title of this article. “Midgets” is a derogatory term and incredibly insensitive. How do you expect to attract little people if you have no idea how to reach out to them? That would be like advertising- “outreach to fags”. Aside from that, I don’t know what little person who would want to come to this because you are categorizing a people group and no little person wants to be treated differently.

What a small minded article. The only short people in Orange County are those that work as Disneyland characters, since being one of the beautiful people is a prerequisite for living behind the Orange Curtain. I think Juli is on to something with her “outreach” idea. There must be some log cabin republicans in Huber’s neighborhood. Make it a costume party for those in the closet and he is guaranteed a big crowd!
